Most of us head to national parks to enjoy the breathtaking scenery or take in the fresh air, but for one adventurous feline, a recent trip turned into a bit of a sticky situation. Last Friday, local emergency responders and park staff received an unexpected distress call that would turn into a heartwarming rescue mission.
A house cat had wandered away from a nearby residential area and, in a moment of pure curiosity, scrambled roughly 15 feet up a towering pine tree. Once he reached the upper branches, he realized that getting down wasn't going to be nearly as easy as going up. He found himself effectively marooned, clinging to a branch and looking for a way out of his high-altitude predicament.
