A few weeks ago, Oksana Krasan was walking home from work in Limassol, Cyprus, when she noticed a small crowd gathered around a cardboard box near her apartment. Curious, she stopped to take a closer look. Inside the box were three tiny kittens, barely a week old, huddled together and crying.

“Someone must have abandoned them,” Krasan wrote in a Facebook post. “Their eyes were still closed, and they were so weak.”

Krasan and the others searched for the kittens’ mother but found no trace of her. It became clear that these fragile babies had been cruelly left behind by someone who didn’t want to care for them. Though many sympathized with the kittens' plight, no one in the group could take them in. As the hours passed and the kittens remained homeless, Krasan couldn’t bear to leave them any longer.

“I just couldn’t listen to their cries of desperation,” she said.

Determined to help, Krasan went to a local vet, bought special kitten formula, and sought advice on how to care for such young animals. She prepared a warm, cozy spot for them in her bathroom and even enlisted a friend to help feed them around the clock. Teaching the kittens how to use a litter box was a challenge, but Krasan was committed to giving them the best chance at life.

“I couldn’t let them down once I decided to take them in,” Krasan shared. “I had to do everything I could to help them find loving homes.”

Under Krasan’s care, the kittens began to thrive, their personalities shining through as they grew healthier each day.

“They’re so playful and sweet, like all kittens should be,” she said.

Hoping to find them forever homes, Krasan posted about the kittens on Facebook, and the response was overwhelming. However, she’s not rushing into placing them with just anyone—she’s dedicated to ensuring they end up with the perfect families.

“I’ve received a lot of interest,” Krasan said. “But I’ll be doing home checks to make sure they’re going to the right people who will care for them properly.”

Thanks to Krasan's compassion and dedication, these once-abandoned kittens now have a bright future ahead.
