When Gabrielle first decided to foster a puppy from the shelter, she had no idea how this small act of kindness would change her life. Eager to help, she arrived at the shelter only to discover something unexpected: the puppy she had come to meet wasn’t alone—she had two adorable siblings. Gabrielle knew right away that she couldn’t separate them. Without a second thought, she took all three puppies home, and thus began her journey as a proud puppy mom.
The three puppies, suffering from a severe case of mange, needed special care. Gabrielle carefully set up a cozy, safe space for them in a big tub with blankets, where they would spend their first few weeks recovering. At just five pounds combined, they were tiny, fragile, and incredibly sweet. Gabrielle described them as a “little mushy mob” curled up together in the corner of the bathtub, and it didn’t take long for her to fall completely in love with them.
As the puppies began to heal and regain their strength, Gabrielle allowed them to explore the rest of the house. It was during this time that their distinct personalities began to shine through. Poppy was the social butterfly, always ready to play and never seeming to tire. Lulu, the more introverted one, enjoyed playtime but was happiest when relaxing. And then there was Tipper, the laid-back puppy who was content with whatever came her way, always going with the flow.
“They were so captivating,” Gabrielle said. “They looked like little foxes, not like puppies at all!”
By the fifth week, the puppies were thriving. Their health had improved so much that it was time to consider adoption. Gabrielle began looking for the perfect homes for them, but deep down, she already knew that Tipper was staying. The bond they had formed was undeniable, and Tipper had become her constant companion.
As Poppy and Lulu found their forever families, Gabrielle felt immense joy knowing they were going to be loved and cared for. “They are all living happily ever after,” she said, beaming. “They truly deserve it.”
But the story didn’t end there. Gabrielle, Poppy, Lulu, and Tipper’s new families decided to organize a reunion so the puppies could see each other again. It was heartwarming to watch them play as if no time had passed since they were all together in the bathtub. The connection between the siblings was as strong as ever.
Gabrielle couldn’t help but feel proud of how far the puppies had come, and how their lives had transformed thanks to the love and care they had received. She was grateful for the wonderful homes they had found and the joy that they, and she, had brought into each other’s lives. The puppies had truly found their happily ever after—and so had Gabrielle.
