This is the story of a young puppy, around 4-5 months old, whose life began in a harsh world where people avoided her because of her crooked, bent legs. Living alone in a field, she survived only because a few kind-hearted individuals occasionally fed her and helped her get by. Despite her condition, she had the will to live, and her journey took a turn when she met the volunteers from the Sheremetyevo dog shelter.
Upon finding her, the volunteers rushed her to the vet, unsure of what challenges lay ahead. The diagnosis was grim, and some veterinarians even suggested amputating her legs and fitting her with a wheelchair. But the volunteers weren’t ready to give up on her yet. They reached out to several doctors, hoping for a miracle. Meanwhile, the sweet puppy, still shy but curious, enjoyed the food and care she received, slowly beginning to trust the people around her.
Her name was Kiss, and from the moment she felt the warmth of care and attention, she responded with affection. For the first time in her life, she was receiving love. She reveled in the hugs and cuddles, which were probably the first of their kind for her.
The first time Kiss met the orthotist, she was scared and tried to run away. But soon, she realized the doctor was there to help. She bravely underwent her exam, and the journey toward healing began.
"We were so happy when we got the good news," said her adoptive mother. "Her strength was coming back, and although the journey ahead was long, we knew we could make it."
With the doctor’s guidance, Kiss began receiving daily massages using special oils to aid her bones and improve blood circulation. Over the next few weeks, her legs became noticeably thinner, and she spent three weeks in a plaster cast as part of her treatment.
As Kiss began to show signs of improvement, her adoptive mother continued to give her massages and extra vitamins. "She had a hard time adjusting to the cast, but we kept going. There were many tears along the way, but every effort was worth it."
The day Kiss would never forget came when she took her first run — full of joy, energy, and freedom. For the first time in her life, she could run as fast as her heart desired, leaving behind the limitations that had once defined her.
Kiss, who was once a shy, neglected puppy, is now a vibrant, healthy dog, loved by her family. She remembers quickly, and with each passing day, she becomes more beautiful and full of life. Her transformation is a testament to the power of love, patience, and dedication.
Kiss now lives a beautiful life with her loving family, surrounded by people who cherish her. She’s a reminder that every dog, no matter their past, deserves a chance at happiness and healing.
