Yet, there are those like Paris, who, despite having a voice, remain silent—too traumatized to express their pain.
Paris, a sweet Pittie, lay frozen beneath a car, her heart shattered and confused as she grappled with the betrayal of her beloved owner. When Krissie and Ashley spotted her trembling beneath the vehicle outside their workplace, they rushed to help but feared she might react out of fear.
Desperate for assistance, they reached out to LA Animal Rescue, texting, “We have a dog on our work property that may have been dumped. I’m hoping you can help me with this before security calls animal control,” wrote Krissie.
The LA team quickly responded, teaming up with Eldad from Hope For Paws, who arrived on the scene within hours. “Eldad jumped in the car to go get her. We knew nothing about them—no health history, temperament, or even whether she was chipped—just that a dog was dumped and hiding under a car. But we said we would take her,” they shared on Instagram.
Seeing Paris motionless under the car all day, Eldad approached slowly, offering her delicious treats and speaking softly. To everyone’s surprise, Paris began to warm up. She didn’t bark or try to run away; instead, she seemed to trust Eldad, allowing him to put a leash on her.
Krissie and Ashley were overjoyed. If Eldad hadn’t arrived, Paris would have likely ended up in an overcrowded shelter, facing uncertainty—and perhaps even euthanasia. Instead, she was on the path to a fresh start, surrounded by those who truly cared for her.
After a comforting bath and thorough vet checkup, Paris embarked on her new life in a foster home. Thanks to this Californian rescue, she traded the cold, dark space beneath the car for a spacious yard in her new foster mom's home.
Tania, a dedicated volunteer at LA Animal Rescue, welcomed her with open arms, and Paris responded with joy, her happiness radiating from her once-somber eyes. “We don’t think she lived anything close to a nice life before being rescued. She wasn’t angry, just sad. But she is definitely getting that sparkle back! Only good things from now on, Paris,” the rescue wrote on Instagram.
Now, nothing can dim the sweet smile on Paris’s face. She finally feels safe and at home, far from the dangers of street life. What began as a life of abandonment has transformed into one filled with opportunities and, most importantly, love. Tania and her rescuers are committed to ensuring she enjoys a wonderful life until her forever family arrives.
Paris is already showing remarkable progress and revealing her true personality. She’s a happy-go-lucky, loving dog who cherishes every moment with people, adoring belly rubs, playful games, and outings with her foster mom.
