In Flint, Michigan, a severely injured dog was brought to the Genesee County Animal Control on August 30, after being discovered abandoned on the side of the road in Flint Township. The dog, now named Toaster, was left for dead in a ditch, suffering from numerous bite wounds. His front right leg sustained the most severe injuries, leaving open and deep wounds.

Hannah Peterson, the shelter's social media manager, shared her thoughts on Toaster’s heartbreaking situation:

"He's super cute, smaller in size, and so sweet. We're really hoping to get him out of here today... Sometimes when they come in, you look at their eyes and see a broken spirit."

Toaster is now receiving antibiotics and pain medication, but his recovery journey will likely involve several surgeries, including a potential amputation of his front leg. Despite his pain, Toaster’s resilience shines through, and a rescue organization has stepped in to help.

As the shelter works on Toaster's medical treatment and rescue transfer, they are also seeking justice. Authorities are asking for any information about who abandoned him. If you know anything, please contact local law enforcement or Genesee County Animal Control. Let's ensure that justice is served for Toaster. If you see something, say something.
