Toby and Roman first crossed paths 14 years ago when Toby was a two-year-old pup. Their initial encounters were rocky, with Toby causing a bit of trouble, including an unfortunate incident involving defecating in Roman’s living room. Despite this, over time, Toby’s affectionate nature won Roman’s heart. Their bond grew stronger, and Toby became an inseparable part of Roman’s life, even surpassing the connection Roman had with his then-fiancée.
Daily Rituals and Heartbreak
Every day, as Roman left for work, Toby would settle by the window, eagerly awaiting his return. This ritual continued through all seasons and weather conditions, showcasing Toby’s steadfast loyalty. Unfortunately, Toby’s health began to decline due to cancer and kidney failure. Despite undergoing several surgeries, his condition worsened, and by February 2019, he could no longer swallow.
Roman, along with his friends, made the difficult decision to end Toby’s suffering and had to say a final goodbye. Though Toby passed away, Roman’s habit of checking the window remains, a bittersweet reminder of the loyal companion he once had.

Even though Toby is no longer physically present, his memory lives on in Roman’s heart. The joy Toby brought into Roman’s life and the unwavering companionship he provided are irreplaceable. Roman continues to look out the window, as if hoping to see Toby’s familiar figure once more.
